To make it as simple as possible I will show you an example: You have $30 poker money and you want to play NL10 – This means you will play on table where small blind is 5c and big blind is 10c and you buy-in the table for maximum of 10$ Let’s say first hand you get dealt is AK and you go ALL IN against QQ and neither Ace or King comes on flop/turn/river and you loss your first 10$. You already lost one third of your total money, now you get angry and start playing bad. If you are unlucky you can loss the rest of your poker money in few minutes. Now imagine that you have $500 or $1000 poker money. Would you still get angry when you loss $10 ? Chances that you go broke with that amount of money are VERY close to zero. If you still don’t understand, with bankroll management you decide which limit are you going to play with the amount of money you have available. So bankroll management is basically the way you control your poker money. Amount of required money(bankroll) depend on several factors, most important are: 1: How good you are 2: How bad you play when you are losing 3: Can you deposit money again in case you loss it all.
